FLOWER MAGIC
half moon musings
Hello dear ones,
As Spring hits her stride, the plants are calling out to me more and more, especially with their FLOWERS! The return of the flowers! What a gift to be admired. Today I saw Violets in my yard and a Tulip bud starting to turn red! Trees are blooming, Spicebush and Maple, and the spring ephemerals rise up for their short chapter before the canopy fills in. Again, what a gift.
Another way the flowers have come back into my orbit is with flower essence consultations. The opportunities to connect people with flowers has been arising and I am taking notice. Willow for rooting into the flowing (sometime frenetic) energy of Spring, Violet for easing the heart and grounding into the right here right now. The Plants are ready to meet us right where we are and offer us so much support.
Flower Essences can help us rewrite the stories we believe about ourselves; feel more connected to Earth and the present moment; offer us expanded capacity for what challenges us; soothe our hearts in these troubled times; and more and more and more!
If you would like to be matched up with a flower, or even a bouquet of flowers, I would love to be your matchmaker. You can book with me here at bookwithkatelyn.com, or respond to this email, or reach out however works. If you can’t find a time on the booking page please know that I’m pretty flexible and can find something that works for both of us. I offer these sessions on sliding scale, am open to discussing trades, and will not turn anyone away for lack of funds.
Here are a few testimonials from people I’ve worked with:
—Working with Katelyn was a very positive and grounding experience for me. She crafted a custom essence based on a thoughtful conversation we had about my goals for the next few months that indeed provided a lot of comfort and presence when I needed it most. The packaging of her formula was beautiful and arrived very quickly after our initial consultation which I always appreciate. This is a wonderful, delicate way to intertwine with plant spirits and I would highly recommend it to anyone, no matter their phase of life.
—Thank you so much for the magic you inspired me with in your herbal consultation. I loved every step of the process, from scheduling with you so easily, to hopping on a video call, and having such a great conversation. You combine a therapeutic and educational energy into your work and I left our initial consultation feeling truly heard and excited to start on my essence journey. In the month or so since I have been incorporating your essence into my life, I have felt super connected to our conversation and reminded of the intention behind it. It is such a gentle yet powerful addition to my routine and I am so grateful for your guidance and knowledge. I love how you checked in on me in the weeks and month that followed, and am really looking forward to continuing on this journey.
—When I was just a couple weeks postpartum with my second child, I did a flower essence consultation with Katelyn. We talked in depth about where I was currently at in life and what I was needing some help with. The conversation was guided by specific and thought provoking questions by Katelyn, all of which made me reflect in a really productive way. Very soon after our conversation, Katelyn sent me details on a custom blend she was going to make me to help gently guide my back to myself during that fragile period in my life. I received the blend just a couple days later and was overjoyed to be able to add it to my daily ritual so soon. Being understood and cared for by Katelyn was truly one of the highlights of my “fourth trimester”. The flower essence she made me became its own kind of anchor for me through those days and I am forever grateful for Katelyn, her insightfulness, and the healing touch she brings to all she does. Thank you, Katelyn!
If you have questions about if this is right for you, let me know. I’d love to chat.
Some flowers for your enjoyment:

And a few poems that have been on my mind:
And a haiku from me:
All day I vacuum bugs Stinkbugs and Lady Beetles Tomorrow: again
A couple weeks ago I wrote a whole newsletter rant about the bugs that I didn’t send. Spring has its challenges! Maybe that one’s for next time.
With love and flowers,
Katelyn
